Terms of Use

Philosophy

Current becomes card. You bring signal; we provide aperture. The transaction ends when the card appears. No open loops. No extracted current. Only time-bounded flows. All engagements are fixed-term. No subscriptions.

What This Agreement Covers

These Terms of Use ("Agreement") establish a legal contract between you (the user) and Composium OY (the service provider) when you use Composium in any form.

By clicking "Conduct a Composition" on composium.app or otherwise accessing the service via composium.co, composium.studio, or composium.app, you agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service Definition

1.1 What Composium Is

Composium OY provides one core service: translation of your inherent current into a Composium Card™ — a fixed-time, bounded transaction that conducts your signal into specified form (SVG composition).

You are not purchasing software. You are not purchasing a subscription. You are purchasing one transaction with a defined entry point, duration, and exit.

1.2 The Standard Transaction

Each standard transaction consists of:

  1. Entry: Click "Conduct a Composition" on composium.app
  2. Bounded time: 420 seconds (7 minutes)
  3. Conduction: Your input → Claude API → SVG output
  4. Payment: Click "Finalize Composition" and complete Stripe payment (4€)
  5. Card delivery: SVG composition stored in your vault, timestamped and final
  6. Exit: Transaction terminated; current stops completely

1.3 Optional: Deeper Engagement

After receiving your Composium Card, you may request:

All additional engagements are fixed-term, bounded, and non-recurring. No subscriptions at any stage.

1.4 What You Are Not Purchasing

2. Who This Service Is For (Gatekeeping)

2.1 Primary Source Requirement

Composium is designed exclusively for individuals who are primary sources of creative, intellectual, or visionary current.

Primary sources are those who originate new material, perspective, or vision; create or compose without extracting others' work; and own their inherent signal.

Excluded users are those who consume, curate, or aggregate without original current; use Composium to process, remix, or resell others' work; or lack an independent source node of signal.

2.2 Representation and Warranty

By clicking "Conduct a Composition," you represent and warrant that: you are a primary source bringing original current to this transaction; you own your input; you understand this is a time-bounded transaction, not ongoing software; and you accept this entire Agreement.

2.3 Right to Refuse Service

Composium OY reserves the right to refuse service or terminate access if we reasonably determine you are not a primary source, you are using the service in violation of this Agreement, or your use threatens the integrity of the grid.

3. The Transaction Lifecycle

3.1 Entry Phase

When you click "Conduct a Composition": your GPS location is recorded (required; you cannot proceed without this), your local timestamp is recorded, a unique click_id (session identifier) is generated, and the liquid phase begins — your 420 seconds (or purchased duration) starts now.

3.2 Liquid Phase (Composition)

During your bounded time, you provide prompts or input (your current); Claude API processes your input (conduction); responses are displayed for your review (intermediate form). None of this is logged or stored by Composium OY (see Privacy Policy). You can edit, refine, iterate freely — all ephemeral, all flushed upon exit.

3.3 Payment Threshold

When you click "Finalize Composition": the payment gate appears (Stripe), you complete payment (4€ minimum or tier amount), and payment success marks the threshold — your current becomes card. Liquid phase ends; illiquid phase begins.

3.4 Card Finalization

Upon successful payment: your composition is rendered as SVG, encrypted and stored in the Supabase vault, with timestamp and click_id attached as immutable metadata. Your card is yours, complete and final. Session terminates; current stops.

3.5 Exit Phase

After card delivery, the transaction is complete. No further interaction with Composium servers. No logs remain of your process. No loops are left open. You leave with your card.

4. Time Boundaries & Pricing

4.1 Standard Transaction (420 Seconds)

Duration: 420 seconds (7 minutes). Price: €4.00 (EUR). Payment must be completed before 420 seconds elapse. What you get: one Composium Card™ in your vault.

4.2 Conductor Sessions (90 Minutes)

After receiving your card, you may request a live session with a Composium conductor. Duration: 90 minutes (synchronous, scheduled). Price: €300 (or case-by-case negotiation). Scope: structural work on your card, integration guidance, deep compositional support. Booking: email composium.co with your card and request; pricing and timing negotiated individually. One-time session, not recurring.

4.3 Fixed-Term Engagements (1–7 Weeks)

For organizations and structural clients seeking deeper, ongoing work. Duration: 1–7 weeks (custom, fixed term). Price: case-by-case negotiation based on scope and deliverables. Target: companies, institutional clients, large projects. Booking: negotiate via composium.co; all terms defined upfront in writing. Fixed endpoint; no renewal or extension unless explicitly agreed in writing.

4.4 No Subscriptions

Composium offers no subscriptions or recurring billing. All engagements are fixed-term, bounded, and one-time. No automatic renewals. No monthly charges.

4.5 Time Expiration (Standard Transaction)

If 420 seconds expires before you finalize your composition, the session ends automatically, liquid data is flushed (nothing stored), and you may start a new 420-second transaction. No carryover, no refund, no extension.

5. Payment & Currency

5.1 Payment Processing

All payments for standard transactions are processed by Stripe (stripe.com). We do not store your credit card details. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. All transactions are secure and encrypted. For conductor sessions and fixed-term engagements, payment terms are negotiated individually and may be processed via invoice, bank transfer, or alternative methods.

5.2 Currency

All standard transaction prices are in EUR. Payment is converted at Stripe's current rate if you use a different currency. Conductor sessions and fixed-term engagements are priced in EUR or as negotiated.

5.3 Payment Signifies Conversion

Payment is the moment your current becomes card. By clicking "Finalize Composition," you authorize Composium OY to charge your payment method and signify your agreement to convert your liquid current into illiquid form (the card).

5.4 Refund Policy

Transactions are final and non-refundable. The moment payment clears, your card exists. We do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or credits. Exception: if payment fails due to Stripe error or our system failure, no charge is applied and you may retry. For conductor sessions and fixed-term engagements, refund and cancellation policies are defined in the individual engagement agreement.

5.5 No Recurring Charges

Composium does not charge recurring fees or subscriptions. All payments are one-time: standard transactions (€4 per card), conductor sessions (€300 or negotiated per session), fixed-term engagements (negotiated upfront). No automatic renewals. No standing orders. No recurring billing.

6. Ownership & Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Ownership

You own all Composium Cards you create: full ownership of the SVG composition, distribution rights (share, publish, or sell your card), enactment rights (use your card to create action, derivative works, or further compositions). No restrictions — we claim no rights over your card.

6.2 Your Input (Current)

Your prompts and input remain your intellectual property. We do not claim rights to your input.

6.3 Composium Ownership

You agree not to reverse-engineer or decompile the app; use Composium to train competing AI models; access or download our source code; attempt to extract or replicate our algorithmic approach; or sublicense or resell access to Composium.

7. Liability & Responsibility

7.1 Core Liability Clause

7.3 What We Are Liable For

Composium OY is liable for: data breach (unauthorized access to your encrypted vault), violation of retention promises (storing data beyond stated periods), unauthorized data sharing (selling or sharing your cards with third parties), and gross negligence (willful harm or deliberate violation of this Agreement).

7.4 Limitation of Damages

In no event shall Composium OY's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the transaction (4€ or your tier cost). This applies to all claims, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or statute.

7.5 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Composium OY against any claim arising from your use of your card, your input (current) you provided, your conduction (action taken based on your card), or misrepresentation that you are a primary source.

8. User Responsibilities

8.1 Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing accurate location information (GPS). Spoofing or falsifying location data violates this Agreement and may result in termination.

8.2 Appropriate Use

You agree to use Composium only to generate original compositions for yourself, in compliance with all applicable laws, without violating others' intellectual property rights, and without attempting to extract or reverse-engineer our technology.

8.3 You Are in Control

You are solely responsible for your inputs and prompts, what you create with your card, how you apply your card in the world, and any consequences or outcomes from your card.

9. Termination & Discontinuation

9.1 Termination by Us

Composium OY may terminate your access to the service or end an engagement at any time if you breach this Agreement, violate applicable law, or your use threatens the integrity of our service. Termination is effective immediately. Refunds are not provided for one-time transactions. For fixed-term engagements, termination policy is defined in the individual agreement.

9.2 Termination by You

You may stop using Composium at any time. Standard transactions end when finalized; no cancellation is possible. For conductor sessions or fixed-term engagements, termination policy is negotiated in the individual engagement agreement.

9.3 Fixed-Term Engagement Endpoints

All conductor sessions and fixed-term engagements have defined endpoints specified in writing. When the fixed term expires, the engagement ends. No renewal or extension occurs unless explicitly agreed in a new written agreement.

9.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to Composium ceases. Your cards remain in your vault (if authenticated) or are deleted after 60 days (if anonymous). All data is deleted per our Privacy Policy, except where legal obligations require retention (e.g., tax records).

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Helsinki, Finland for any dispute arising under this Agreement. Before initiating litigation, either party may request mediation — optional but encouraged. This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and the In-App Transaction Agreement, forms the entire agreement between you and Composium OY regarding the service.

Material changes come with at least 30 days' notice via email (if authenticated) or in-app banner.
